Lakeside's Chapter 3 Update

"Become Like Jesus"
 Teaching Series Continues

God's Capital Campaign Launches March 4

Dick Jorgensen, minister

God has moved in the life of His Lakeside congregation by providing over $103,000 at the
end of 2011 for building Phase One of His Worship Center. Over $45,000
came from His hand in December alone!

Lakeside's Building Development Team has been regularly meeting and planning the Capital
Campaign Vision Taking Life! Building with the Cornerstone, which launches
March 4, 2012, with four weeks of teaching and challenge leading up to Commitment Day,
  April 1.

Executive Director Keith Crook leads the BDT, and believes that the Lord will reveal through
the campaign what He wants Lakeside to do. If God provides the $350,000 to construct
Phase One of the Worship Center, building will begin. If not, construction will wait.

God has provided gifts and commitments toward Phase One that now total 55.9% of the $350,000. Yea God!

God has provided Generis, a ministry team of experienced people who lead people to cultivate generosity
to accomplish their God-given vision. An out-of-state conregation has generously provided the cost for Lakeside.
Yea God once more!

Pr
ayer Is the Strategy and the key point in Lakeside's Five Star Vision for Chapter Three of her mission.
Ask and fast, see what God does, then get on board--just like Jesus did and said, "I assure you," Jesus said,
"the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does,
the Son also does," John 5.19 NLT

As Lakeside continues in the first quarter of her fourth year, her Five Star Vision remains the focus, and the strategy of prayer impacts the remaining four points
of the star.

Spreading the Gospel beyond our walls is Vision Point Two, and it has increased to over ten percent of Lakeside's Financial Minsitry Plan in this present year.
Worship Center Construction is Vision Point Three. We continue to ask God for taking the next step by how He provides.

Outreach/evangelism is Vision Point Four, with a focus on familes with children. Point of Power, Lakeside's weekly radio broadcast, is Vision Point Five, and is now heard on KRPM 870 AM and KDKK 97.5 FM at 10 o'clock each Sunday morning.

Lakeside worships each Sunday morning in the Hubbard (MN) Community Center at 10 am. The Center is located at 12141 County Road 6 (Main Street) across from the Long Lake Theatre.

From Park Rapids, MN, take US 71 south four miles to State Road 87,turn east for three miles, then turn south into Hubbard.

Lakeside may be contacted by phone at 218-732-4676, by email at
lcc@unitelc.com or at P.O. Box 566, Park Rapids, MN 56470

Our on-going Sunday teaching series, "Become Like Jesus" is from the Gospel of Mark. Join in and read Mark's Gospel through and through as we teach our way through it.

Come as you are, grace happens.
